Glorious Gardens
Shakespeare Country has some of the most beautiful gardens in the country with examples of gardening styles from every period of garden history. This short break will give you the chance to wander through beautiful cottage landscaped, and ornamental gardens set within gently rolling green countryside.
Day One
On arrival at your hotel, you will be warmly welcomed by your host. After a relaxing evening meal, you will be given an expert talk on gardens.

Day Two
Explore Hidcote Manor Garden, internationally renowned as one of England’s greatest gardens. In the afternoon, visit Snowshill Manor, where you will explore this beautiful Arts & Crafts garden laid out by Charles Paget Wade in the early 20th century as a series of outdoor rooms. Alternatively, the visit can include a trip to Coughton Court with its stunning walled garden or Ragley Hall, with its rose garden, secret garden and ‘Fumpery’ of ferns. On certain days we may offer alternative gardens, including the National Herb Centre to see a wide range of herb plants, display gardens and nature trails followed by a visit to the gardens of Upton House, home to the national collection of Asters. In the afternoon, you will be taken to Jephson Gardens, now listed as a Historic Public Park which has recently undergone a £4.3 million restoration project.

Day Three
Start with a tour of Hill Close Victorian Gardens, in Warwick now registered of national importance; they were once used by shopkeepers and professional people who had no gardens of their own. From there, travel to Warwick Castle where you can wander through the beautiful formal gardens landscaped by Capability Brown. The gardens are backed by a conservatory built in 1786 which houses exotic plants. Alternatively, end your final day with a short morning visit to the Master’s Garden at the Lord Leycester Hospital to see a remarkable restoration of a 1850s style garden which includes herbs, vegetables and fruit.
