Day OneYou will be welcomed by your host and enjoy an evening dinner. Following dinner, a guest speaker will provide you with an interesting talk on the arts and culture.
Day Two
The day begins with a visit to Compton Verney, a new innovative art gallery set in more than 120 acres of classical parkland landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. View the galleries which house permanent and temporary collections of art, much of which has never been on public view before. In the afternoon, wander around Charlecote Park, the quintessential English park, home to the Lucy family for over seven centuries. In the evening, enjoy a performance by the Royal Shakespeare Company. The two RSC theatres in Stratford offer you the chance to enjoy Shakespeare's plays, other renaissance dramatists and contemporary writers.
Day Three
Visit Stoneleigh Abbey, the site of which dates back to 1154 when Henry II granted land to a community of Cistercian monks. Explore the abbey and see Queen Victoria's bed where she slept in 1858. In the afternoon, view the Royal Pump Rooms. Opened in 1814 and recently refurbished at a cost of £7 million, the historic Royal Pump Rooms have been redeveloped to create a cultural complex, art gallery and museum.
